Robert Bilbie Consultancy is headed by Robert Bilbie, one of the UK’s most experienced energy and environmental consultants with over 35 years experience. 

He was awarded a prestigious Gold Award by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists in 2007 to mark his dedicated service to the construction industry for energy efficient building design.

Robert is highly qualified, and holds membership of the following professional bodies and associations:

As someone who has been involved in energy-efficient building design since long before the issue came more generally to the fore, Robert often speaks and gives interviews on the subject to professional bodies and trade magazines, and has sat on a number of forums and task forces dealing with policy in this area. 

He was responsible for the first house in Norfolk and Suffolk to gain a certified energy rating, as long ago as 1990.  The low energy consuming house also received an award from Norwich Energy Action as part of their promotion to make Norwich an energy efficient city.  Robert is also a retired NHER trainer and examiner although still provides general energy efficiency training.
